In Plain Sight is a true-crime television series produced by Frantic Films for Investigation Discovery (Discovery ID), combining expert interviews with cinematic reenactments to reconstruct real criminal investigations.

As part of the Winnipeg production unit, I was responsible for producing multiple episodes of the series’ reenactment segments within a tightly structured broadcast schedule. Each episode required rapid script breakdown, casting coordination, location sourcing, and budget planning before cameras rolled. With only two days of prep and three days of principal photography per episode, the challenge was executing complex dramatic scenes while staying on schedule and within a fixed production budget.

Working from the script in Final Draft and managing production planning through industry tools like Scenechronize and detailed scheduling spreadsheets, I built shooting schedules, secured locations, coordinated actors and background, sourced picture vehicles and props, and managed the production budget from planning through final reconciliation. On set, I functioned as both field producer and directing coordinator, keeping cast, crew, and departments moving efficiently while ensuring each scene was captured within the available time and resources.

The result was successful delivery of multiple episodes within a 50-episode season of the nationally distributed Discovery ID series, contributing reenactment production that helped bring real criminal cases to life for a broadcast audience.
