CallTuneAI

A working, monetized micro-SaaS built as a demonstration of how quickly a product leader could move from strategy to market with AI.

I did not come to CallTuneAI as a first-time software builder. Earlier in my career, I conceived and led enterprise software platforms, including Umbilical, along with other custom applications developed through Enter360. But the development model was changing rapidly. Cloud infrastructure, GitHub-centered workflows, AI-assisted development, and teams combining human developers with AI agents required a new operating approach. I built CallTuneAI to update that experience firsthand.

I conceived CallTuneAI and led it from product strategy through launch. I built the brand, user experience, React marketing site, product workflow, pricing, and go-to-market system using AI throughout, while directing specialist developers on database and Stripe integration. The result was a working cloud platform and a TestFlight mobile player with Bluetooth audio, not a concept or design exercise.

When early users responded, I commercialized it through a freemium model, lifetime-deal validation, a hardware bundle, an affiliate program, and a podcast campaign. The platform has paying customers and runs lean by design. It doesn’t demand much of my week, which was the point. More importantly, it gave me firsthand experience applying AI across the modern product-development lifecycle and leading human developers and AI agents within the same operating model.

Product Model

An AI-built micro-SaaS, designed and shipped solo. Proof of how fast one product leader can go from strategy to paying customers with AI.

Role

Founder and Solo Builder, Brand and Full-Stack AI Build

Scope

Strategy, brand and creative, AI-assisted full-stack build, developer and AI-agent leadership, IP governance, go-to-market, and monetization.

What It Proved

LIVE PRODUCT

A Product Website and a Working AI Sound Studio

CallTuneAI consists of two purpose-built web experiences. The React website at calltuneai.com presents the brand, explains the product, and operates as the marketing and conversion funnel. The Python-based studio at app.calltuneai.com handles the actual product experience, including audio upload, waveform preview, processing controls, accounts, payments, and file management.

Separating the applications allowed me to use the right architecture for each job while presenting them as one connected product. The system is live, has paying customers, and is lean enough to run alongside other work while I still add features when the roadmap warrants.

MOBILE PLAYER APP BUILD

Offline Bluetooth Playback Without Proprietary Lock-In

The React Native application was not a mobile version of the Studio. It was a separate, playback-only companion built for field use where hunters often have no cellular service. Users could import compatible sound files onto the phone, including sounds created in CallTuneAI or obtained elsewhere, organize them in a local library, and play them offline through standard Bluetooth speakers and compatible calling hardware.

The product addressed a second form of market lock-in. Competing mobile players restricted users to vendor-owned sound libraries, proprietary hardware, or paid Bluetooth unlocks. CallTuneAI Player was designed to let users bring their own sounds and use the hardware they already owned. The web platform already stored each customer’s processed files in a private dashboard; direct synchronization between that account library and the mobile player was planned as the next phase.

The TestFlight build achieved working local-file management, offline playback, and Bluetooth output. The video is an actual screen recording of that build running on my phone, not a mock-up. I took the mobile app through Apple Developer provisioning, testing, and on-device deployment. A public release is sequenced behind the core product’s roadmap.

PRODUCT SYSTEM & MARKET VALIDATION

Market validation for a working AI sound product.

Beyond the core studio and mobile player, I built the surrounding product system: pricing, onboarding, tutorial content, lead magnets, affiliate materials, podcast outreach, and launch-channel tests. The goal was to validate whether a niche audience understood the product, used the workflow, and responded to the offer before investing further in scale.

Experience, Rebuilt for the AI Era

After years of conceiving products, financing builds, directing engineering and creative teams, and taking platforms such as Umbilical from operational problem to commercial product, this project gave me firsthand experience with the development model now forming around cloud infrastructure, GitHub, AI agents, and AI-enabled engineering teams. I learned where AI genuinely compresses time, where experienced judgment remains essential, and how to structure human-plus-agent workflows while protecting code, intellectual property, budgets, and business priorities.

CallTuneAI runs lean and profitably, and I still ship to it. The most recent release added a full-stand Builder that brought existing customers back. It’s a live demonstration of how I work: product, software, brand, and AI leadership in one operator. The same range I bring to larger teams and more consequential problems.
